Welcome to the Overland Group

The Overland Group is a Malta-based company dedicated to helping local service provider partners in the United Kingdom build their businesses in creative ways. Although our business model is quite different in each sector in which we work, our primary mission is to help small local businesses in the UK to achieve economies of scale and scope in marketing with the help of bespoke customer-service technology and highly-trained staff located in lower-cost Malta.

We operate in a number of different sectors: health, legal services, property and heating and plumbing. Our work in each of the sectors is described below.

Health

Our health business breaks into a wholesale stream and a retail stream. We work closely in partnership with physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors throughout the UK, helping them to grow their practices.

The focus of our business is on the areas in the UK where the public sector presence is relatively weak and where private practitioners make up the bulk of the market. The principal focus at present is on the three professions focussed on the musculo-skeletal system ? osteopathy, physiotherapy and chiropractic. In all cases we operate a call centre which is able to advise patients about the practices and any specialty areas, opening hours, costs and patient feedback. In many cases we are able to book the patient an appointment there and then. The response from patients to this free "concierge" service is excellent. More importantly, the quality of patients we send to practices is high.

We use 3 primary sites to market private health services to patients. The Physiotherapy Site is the leading non-governmental site in the UK for patients seeking rich information about physiotherapy. The site lists more than 950 physiotherapist clinics in more than 540 locations. The Osteopath Network represents more than 695 osteopaths in 398 locations. Finally, the Chiropractor Network lists more than 250 practitioners in 374 locations.

Our wholesale health business, Overland Health, markets the services of our medical clinics direct to larger purchasers of rehabilitation services, primarily insurers and solicitors. Using our low-cost administrative back-office in Malta

Legal

Accident compensation claim solicitors -- the website provides a comprehensive listing of solicitors throughout the UK and notes what kind of legal services are supplied. Like our health businesses, we offer consumers a concierge-type service to help them find the best-qualified solicitor in their area for the particular legal issue with which they are faced. Although we specialise in personal injury cases, we are able to refer work to a wide range of firms focusing on the full range of  legal issues faced by individuals and businesses.

Property

The Overland Property team operate as property buyers, traders and developers. The team assists home owners under pressure to sell their properties immediately. The reasons why home owners become distressed include impending bankruptcy or repossession, divorce, inheritance tax or probate, sudden job moves and health issues. We are contacted by 20-30 homeowners each day and make each of them an offer to buy their house.

Our people

Overland Group employs a total of 30 staff in a variety of roles. Almost all of our staff members are based in our customer service and administrative support centre in Malta, however we operate a small representative office in Kensington, London, for the convenience of our many UK-based partners.
